Your Guide to Autumn Cycling
Wednesday, October 25, 2017
Autumn is a beautiful season and can really be appreciated with a Bike & Go ride.
With the fresh air and the crisp brown and orange leaves, autumn provides a breath-taking landscape that is waiting to be explored. So hire a Bike & Go today, from your nearest participating station, and see for yourself.
We’ve even given you a few handy tips to see you through the season!
It’s time to layer up
Although the autumnal season can be beautiful and picturesque, it can often bring a chill to the air! So if you’re cycling you may want to think about wrapping up and in particular wearing layers. Instead of wearing a big jacket try and wear two or three layers, not only will they trap the heat but it’s easier to add/remove layers if you warm up or cool down.
Whether you’re commuting to work or enjoying a leisurely cycle, keeping your clothes safe is a priority! Luckily Bike & Go bikes have built in mud and chain guards so your clothes will stay safe on your bike ride.
Bike & Go will light the way
Summer is now only a distant memory and the darker mornings and evenings are slowly creeping in, but don’t let that be a reason to stop you from cycling. The bikes have front and rear dynamo lights that operate automatically when the bike starts moving. The lights are also self-charging and will remain lit after you’ve been pedalling for 200 metres. So no matter what time of the day it is, Bike & Go will light your cycle path!
Fallen leaves go hand in hand with the autumnal season, and although they make for a great Instagram post it’s worth being cautious if you’re out and about cycling. Simply be aware of your surroundings and as difficult as it may be try to avoid cycling through a heap of leaves!
