Summer is officially here and with the lighter evenings it has never been a better time for a Bike & Go ride. From cycling in a park to cycling along the water front Bike & Go can offer something to everyone and you can share all that with a friend.

There are many benefits available to you when you become a Bike & Go member, including having access to all 70 locations and returning your bike to any station. But a key advantage of the scheme is being able to hire two bikes with one membership card. Now you and a friend can make the most of the lighter evenings after work or you can even enjoy a weekend cycle with Bike & Go. Simply show your membership card to the ticket office staff and receive two bike keys. 

You can also recommend a friend to subscribe to Bike & Go and both of you will be gifted a free rental when they join – so next time you hire a bike you won’t be charged for it! Simply log in to your account here, go to the Bike & Go buddy scheme and fill in their name and email address. If they sign up you will both be awarded a free rental - it has never been easier to enjoy a bike ride with friends!

If it’s the seaside you’re looking for then look no further than Clacton. The seaside resort sits on Essex’s Sunshine Coast and is a great place explore with a friend. Hire a bike from Clacton-on-Sea station and pedal the short distance to the sea front, where you can enjoy a leisurely cycle whilst taking in the sea air. There are plenty of arcades, restaurants and bars to choose from and you can even stop off for an ice cream or some fish and chips!

If you want to explore the hustle and bustle of a city centre then Edinburgh is the place to be. Bursting full of history and character, and an abundance of cycle lanes, the capital is an exciting place to explore on two wheels. With lots to see and lots to do Edinburgh is a place to explore with friends, so hire your bikes from Haymarket station now.
